Fitting wall light without earth wire

I am not sure if you are looking to fit a specific wall light that requires an earth wire or if you are simply looking to find another wall light.
This is a web site that sells double insulated lighting where there is no earth wire.

For some reason our living room ceiling light hasn't got a earth wire due to previous owners moving the hole at some point (I am sure its n the ceiling void somewhere and when we redo the bedroom above, I will pull up the boards and see if its an easy fix) - However, we got a really nice looking metal light from Next that was double insulated so perfectly fine to use.
Hope this helps.0 -

The lamp we have bought is double insulated, but we have an earth wire hanging out of the wall. So it was simply about knowing what to do with the earth wire!0 -
Thanks all - all makes perfect sense now!0
