    The steering angle bit you put rang some distant bells for me - I'm sure some Audis had issues with the 'clock spring' in the steering wheel - 'audi clock spring' might be worth a quick google ?

    Yea the guys who I took it back to said the clock spring squib could be the trouble. Still strange that it's setting the alarm off and there was no work carried out in that area.

    It was left for a few days with the battery connected. Now it doesn't start. No lights coming on at all on the dash. Showing voltage of 11-11.5 on the cigarette lighter thing. Gonna put the old battery back in tomorrow and try and start her

    Have the mice been at the wiring loom?

    Mice can crawl into cars and make nests, they're !!!!!!s for chewing the loom up.

    Have a look round the engine bay and back seats for gnawing
