Evening, I’m looking at my car insurance and marshmallow have come out on top on multiple comparison websites.
Has anyone heard of them or use them? I’ve never heard of that brand before.
Thanks in advance!

Never heard of them but just googled your thread title and looks like they're a new "insurtech" start up targeting "immigrants/expats who are poorly served by the car insurance market". Presumably not so bothered about the vegetarian or vegan driver!
Feel free to google and have a poke round yourself but I wouldn't insure with them personally. Far too new to trust with your insurance as simply not been around long enough to be able to judge the service you're likely to get in the event of a major claim.0 -

you get what you pay for, ONe call insurance is another insurance with their thread on here as well as others who have ridiculously high excess in the small print regardless of fault"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

I do agree, Trustpilot is not as reliable. And if I'd known they are based offshore (Gibraltar), it would've been a no.
I've only been with them for almost 2 months. There wasn't much of a difference between the cheapest insurance comparisons sites. I chose them due to provision of "courtesy car" offer.
Unfortunately, I made a slight (website defaulted) error in purchase date of the car. In fact the purchase date is several months before the actual manufactured date of the car. The error was only noticed after I send a copy of my V5C to Marsmallow.
The company decided that error is worth an increase of £75 (20%) to my annual premium. This, I argue, is more of an administration job, however they don't charge administration fees. The purchase date discrepancy doesn't seem justifiable to such an increase, it doesn't fall under any category that may affect car insurance premiums. I'm prepared to cough up, but not that much, every little help especially in this dire times.
