    Any advice other than that?

Be prepared to lose unless you have some unique evidence. Something like a damaged sign that can't be read or the suchlike.

You face an uphill task at this site.
  • If i appeal through POPLA and it gets rejected, will i end up having to pay more money to PE?

Did you notice that the person who reeled off a load of stuff that won't win, is now barred from posting? Just saying, so you can see the difference, in case you felt it was me who was being unhelpful! In fact I was steering you away from duff advice.

My advice would be to first try the Matalan Manager as they hate P/Eye there.

Ah ok, yeah i haven't used his advice. I spoke to the store manager at Matalan and they said they can't help me.

I have gotten hold of the land owners who have just said to contact PE and have even forwarded my email to PE as well which i feel could damage my case.

I don't want to end up paying more than the charge if i just paid it now. Is it still worth going to POPLA?

The MATALAN MANAGER isn't interested? She usually was, are you sure you spoke to the Store Manager?

You will be asked for £100 if you lose at POPLA.

You can argue for POPLA stage that it took you a perfectly understandable 7 mins to find a space as it was a busy time before Xmas, and 8 mins to leave, which are both perfectly reasonable grace periods, and that the car was not parked for more than the allowed time.

That is a normal POPLA appeal point and people win (usually) by saying that, but not always (and there are other points to include as per the NEWBIES thread!) Try the Store manager at Matalan again, one more time, got to be worth it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I called and asked for the store manager and they handed me to a woman so assume it was unless they handed me to someone else. I may go in after work today and see if i can see her face to face.

if you lose at POPLA the full amount is payable, if not paid expect a court case like BEAVIS

if it is still £85 , then that would be payable, in order to prevent it rising

grace periods is the best defence due to the alleged overstay

I would (take a copy of the PCN with you and keep the Original).

It's worth £60 or £100 to you to have that conversation!

Went in there last night, and spoke to the store manager, she was very nice and said she would help if she could but PE no longer listen to even them and they have started having issues with them as well with their employees' parking

If the alleged event was after hours, was it dark? If so, you should get pics of the signs in the same light conditions.

Do complain to your MP. Add that PE neglected to tell the judges in the Beavis case that none of the retail stores at this site do not and never did want the scammers on site, so it was a lie when Parking Lie said the charge was commercially justified.
Use the Matalan store manager's comments as proof.
