Why is my affordability rating so low?

Having had excellent credit rating for the last 10 years, I was denied store credit recently. When I checked my credit profile on MSE, I found that my affordability score had changed to very low.
My wife and I bring in £70k+ per year and we generally have well over a grand left over at the end of them month, after mortgage, bills and general spending.
How can my affordability score be so low? Is there anything I can do about it?
The only big changes we have had recently is that we purchased our first home in November 2019, and we have both had pay rises. Could these things have affected our score?
We need a new bathroom and were hoping to take advantage of the 2 years interest free credit a Wickes, but I'm now concerned we will be denied. Please help!

The affordability score, like your credit score, isn't really a measure of anything.
Moving home can be a risk indicator but check your three files to see what appears. You may have inconsistencies in addresses.
Electoral roll is another consideration.0 -
You need to get you address updated on all your accounts and the ER.
Then make a start applying for credit to avoid any inconsistencies.0 -
The affordability rating on Credit Club is a common complaint on here. For the past year or so it has tended to show many people's affordability as low, regardless of circumstances. It is not seen by anyone but you however so you can safely ignore it.0
