Car paint peeling off at multiple areas
Hi everyone.
We recently have purchased a 2014 lexus ct200h and after a car wash a hand size of laquer came off from the bonnet. Lexus fixed this under warranty but recently on the passenger side door the laquer also started to come off, but this time they refused as they said it was due to a chip or someone opening the door on it. I argued that the paintwork must be substandard but they refused to test it or help anyway. They just said that's NORMAL. now I found out that a lot of lexus owners have similar problems. I wanted to buy from a dealer to avid these problems but now I'm worried the cars paintwork will peel/rot away. It also gets chips very easily.
My question is can I force them to "test" the paintworks durability/quality or to fix the second peeling laquer?
I'm worried it will keep happening which is absolutely unacceptable for a 12k car bought from an official lexus dealer.
I appreciate any tips or advice.

If the dealer won't help, maybe try Lexus customer services yourself? There are companies who will test and report for you, but it will cost you with no guarantee of getting it back. What is the paint warranty, and are you sure it hasn't had any accident repairs/paint previously?0

The dealer said it had no accidents as if I remember correctly they legally have to if you ask. Apperently this peeling is a common problem of Lexus cars which I was totally unaware and we thought we are buying high-end reliable car.
I'll try lexus customer service itself, can't believe Japanese quality is this !!!!, what happened to the world...0 -

Somewhere around a third of all brand new cars have had some bodywork rectification before delivery.0
