I phoned and it was clarified that it is the former.Special_Saver2 wrote: »Even if you can do this, would you want to do it?
If you opened this account on 2nd November and paid in £1,500 then it would all get transferred on 26th November to an account paying minimal interest. You will only get 5% interest on that money for less than a month and you will lose interest whilst transferring the money to the Chorley Building Society and then transferring it out again after 26th November when you have to rescue it from the linked Chorley account paying minimal interest.
Last year they were very efficient. Cheque was posted on the 26th and banked on the 27th.Dagobert0 -
Hi Folks,
This weekend's update:
- Britannia BS Regular Saver account paying 3.1% has been withdrawn and will be replaced with the Easy Monthly Saver account paying 2.1% according to emoneyfacts
- According to emoneyfacts, the Skipton BS Christmas Saver issue 4 is not being launched until 3rd November. The details on the Skipton BS website are consistent with issue 4 (although it does not explicitly say issue 4) and you can apply online. It might be best to wait until 3rd November or apply in a branch if you want to be sure that you do not accidentally get issue 3.
That is all for the moment. I shall do another update next weekend.

Hi Everybody,
Here is this weekend's update.
I can only find one thing that has changed - the Leeds BS Online Saver Issue 2 has been withdrawn. I have removed this from the feeder account section.
I shall do another update next weekend.
All the best,

Hi Folks,
Here is this weekend's update:
- Buckinghamshire BS Chiltern Gold Mine Issue 3 launched today (lots of tricky terms and conditions, see details below)
- Another thread shows that you cannot make a 13th payment on the Principality regular saver bonds (lucky77 had their payment returned) - I have added this information to the relevant post
I shall do another update next weekend.
All the best,
SS2
P.S. I don't know if the Ulster Bank Pathway account would make a suitable feeder account. If you have one then please post something in this thread if you think it would make a good feeder account.
