Perhaps get your £4300 EF this month and concentrate on your roof fund, save dipping into your EF and avoids that upset / annoyance at seeing the EF reduce.
Family time is always a boost. When the kids are older you can think about working a more hours, but at that point you may have had a few payrises, the mortgage will be lower and savings higher. I totally agree. I find a much better work life balance working only part time. Fingers crossed everything all works out.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

So I made my first ever e3ay sale today, that with a combination of a bit of account rounding has got EF to 4300 and mortgage OP of 14.58 made to round down to 141,600.

Just an update to say we are still saving for the garage roof atm. It's been pushed to Feb.
