    Check out https://www.borrowmydoggy.com

It connected me with a local lady (2 streets away) and I now walk her dog on a regular basis.

The site is free to join, costs £12.99 annually to
have messaging ability. That also gives access to inclusive insurance; so may well be comparable to what a professional dog walker offers.

    Thank you :)
I can’t believe I forgot about borrowmydoggy! I will check it out, could save myself a bit with that!

Interview went well, think I have a very good chance of being offered the job. Which could well save me a fair bit in car parks and petrol. Also a small salary increase so fingers crossed!
  • Just to say you can get sun newspaper holiday out of term time at 15 a night instead of the 9.50. Some sites are cheaper thqn others for service charges etc you just need to play around with it to see.
If you can get rid of parking and dont need the 200 set aside each monthbfor holidays your soa looks healthier already x

I was in a car accident last night, hit and run by the other driver. I’m not seriously hurt, I have whiplash and mild concussion but it could have been much worse so I’m grateful to still be here.
What it does mean is that my car needs to be replaced. It was on PCP so I’m waiting for a valuation to come through then I’ll have to settle the finance and get a new car sorted.
In a small way it might give me the opportunity to get a cheaper car to pay for, on the other I’m not sure where I’ll stand with finance. So it may be that I have to work out a way of getting the new car and paying off any remaining finance. Not the best start to the new year!
I’ll also lose a year of my no claims as there’s no details of the driver that hit me so it counts against me.
Fingers crossed the new job comes through next week with some extra salary!!

Have you made a complaint about the hit and run to the police? I'm assuming you were not able to get their registration number on the other car? The police may have access to cameras on that road, to show who the culprit was. Either way, make sure that you have yourselves a crime reference number...

    Good luck with the job...

I reported it straight away to the police, unfortunately I didn’t see the car that hit me. They came from behind and we’re going quite fast, by the time they’d hit me and I managed to look around they were gone. A witness pulled over and stayed with me whilst I was getting sorted. He saw the accident happen and type of car but no number plate.
We’re hoping there’s some ANPR cameras that the police can look into along that stretch of road. But for now my insurance is a claim against me.
