3rd party accident yesterday evening -only noticed I couldn't get into my car this morning as another vehicle rear was against my car.
Details have since been exchanged etc 3rd party accepted fault was their error.
Thinking ahead until 2nd week Jan when mines gets uplifted for repair.
2015 Clio -since Back Door + Rear panel are dented+Scratched including wheel arch.
Do those parts get repaired or replaced.
Whilst I appreciate its 2015 car it has only done 12k miles.

All depends on the cost vs the current retail value, anything can be repaired for a price, if the price is too high then, it's beyond economic repair eg a write off.

It depends on how badly damaged they are.

The bumper is almost certain to be replaced, unless it's trivial damage. The door skin is fairly likely to be replaced, simply because it's a large unsupported area so likely to have been bent substantially - and also because it's easy to replace. The rear arch/wing is almost certain to be repaired, because replacement is quite structurally invasive - cutting and welding.

It'll either be repaired (and how the repair is done will be defined by the damage, nothing else), or it'll be written off - in which case the insurer pays the value in return for taking the car away - and you don't see the car again, unless you choose to give up a proportion of the payout to buy the car back from them. It's all about repair cost vs value. If the repair is looking close to the value, but probably under, they'll still write it off for simplicity and to reduce hire car etc costs.

    Thanks no bumper damage
The repair V Value thing could run close though I'm not sure if it could exceed value.
The write off possibility is worse case scenario for me yet to complete 1st of 5 years finance.

    Until Jan' thanks anyway appreciated.

Ah, I assumed that was what you were meaning by "rear panel".

Insurance will pay the car's value to the finance house, then. If that's less than the settlement value, your gap insurance will pay out for the difference.

The slim panel next to rear drivers side door unless it is part of boot-not sure.

Totally forgot I took gap type insurance though think it's vehicle replacement insurance.\

    Thanks

Ah, the front bit of the arch? That's part of the rear wing.
