                    Hi all,
Just wanted to share a cautionary tale of some mis-selling I've experience at the hands of Currys/PC World this month!
They were advertising some Alienware laptops as OLED when they were IPS/LCD, from at least 9th December through to around 18th December. If you have purchased one of these please double check. If it is a non-4K device then it is NOT an OLED screen. OLED is only available on Alienware's M15/17R2 range on 4K laptops.
They also continue to advertise them as having up to 32GB installable RAM which is false. As far as I know they come with either 8GB or 16GB RAM, which is soldered to the motherboard and as a result cannot be changed.
Additionally, I was also lied to in-store about the storage capacity. I was falsely told my machine would have two 512GB SSDs in RAID configuration.
If you feel you have been mis-sold one of these due to the above inaccuracies I would encourage you to email their CEO's office. You should find an email for him online, or I can send via private message. I also have evidence of the website before and after showing OLED and then LCD on SKU 698726. I was able to get a full, no quibble refund.
I would encourage everybody who has shopped with them at any point in the last 6 months to double check you've got what you paid for! You should be entitled to a replacement or refund depending on the issue. I assume they get this a lot!!!
