17% of the housing stock is social it should actually be less
In your imagination this is a poor country with !!!! conditions for the majority
You've still to wake up and realize the majority have it good in the UK
That's why the free money Marxists failed to win the GE
If things were remotely how you feel they are he would have won a landslide but he didn't
This is a rich country and the majority have decent livea
Even those who come here with nothing can make a good life for themselves in one single generation
Considering the numbers of council houses have halved in 20 years, and over 5 million private renters are paying off their landlords' mortgages, you are getting your wish.

Whether English people come to regret their voting decision over the next 5 years remains to be seen. As an ardent Tory, you might reflect on the fact that few of the new converts voted for Johnson because they want things to stay the same. Personally I think he's about as likely to affect positive change in their lives as a fox is to promote the welfare of a chicken coop it's just tunnelled into. But, you never know.0 -

The U.K. does not elect left-wing governments, it hasn’t for half a century, and shows no signs of changing any time soon. Those who get all excited about someone like Corbyn and all bitter when he inevitably fails really need to understand this.
The revolution is not around the corner, the people are not going to rise up and demand change, because we have just shown that we can get it via the ballot box.
May I ask, given that your views are so at odds with the population, what do you intend to do about it? Being bitter and sniping, such as you do on here, seems unlikely to help.0 -

Well, around 10 million people voted for Labour, and 14 million people voted for the Tories. Obviously this returns a large Tory majority, but claiming that my views are "at odds with the population," when 10,265,911 others voted in the same way, and another 5 million voted for the Lib Dems and SNP, is not entirely accurate.
But, you aren't the first poster not to understand the significance of FPTP, and you won't be the last I should think.0 -

The view of around 20 million of the population is that they vote Tory / Labour because they've always voted Tory / Labour and their da would turn in his grave if they voted Labour / Tory. Only about 10% of the electorate give a crap about what politicians say, who are known as "swing voters" in the jargon.
90% of swing voters vehemently objected to what Labour were saying, which is why the Tories got 4 million more votes than Labour, many of them in the "Red Wall" where Labour's prehistoric policies and racism were so repulsive to the general population that they shocked hundreds of thousands of "Me da would turn in his grave" loyalists into becoming swing voters.
There are thousands of swing voters who think smashing capitalism and the Jews is a terrific idea, but that still puts them in a small minority, which is why a left-wing government (using Corbynists' definition of left-wing) has not been elected in the UK for half a century.0
