    It's lovely to have company on the journey. I couldn't believe how quickly FD paid out for the switch though - literally about 3 weeks early!

    I’m planning a FD switch at some stage which will then probably become my main personal bank account - leaving Nationwide just for regular payments out.
    I prefer FD to Nationwide.

    I was with FD a few years ago (when they had the 8% reg saver).  Only switched to get a switching bonus.  Could switch back now but because we are hoping to move I don't want to put anything on my credit file at the moment.  I know it's a current account but I'd rather my file stay as it is for now.

    I was ultra careful before the mortgage too GAP so that's wise. But I think pretty much either on the day of the new mortgage or certainly within a couple of days - I started 2 bank switches - and got 2 CCs. I worked on the basis it would take the credit reports a little while to catch up anyway LOL which has turned out to be true.

    I really like my current account at the moment.  I have banked with this bank since I was 15, various different accounts.  I have a couple of other accounts I could switch but I need to be on top of moving money around each month and I just don't know if I have the patience at the moment.  I'll see how I feel (or how skint we are 😆) after we have moved.

    I picked up a couple of Christmas bits yesterday.  Just got one thing to get when I'm in town tomorrow and that's me done.  I've not done any more wrapping since last time I mentioned it so I really need to get my skates on as I have a busy week this week.  I finished up work on Friday so at least I've not got that to worry about.

    Meeting up with my family for lunch today at Mum & Dad's house, they invited us so they'll either take rolls out of the freezer or buy some.  Either way, no cost to me as the fillings will be whatever they have in.  We might go for a short drive in the afternoon.  We usually take my Mum so that my Dad can have a couple of hours peace.  Haha.  Not really, he pretends to like the peace but if we're out too long he phones her to see if she's ok.

    I had my booster yesterday.  My arm is the sorest it has ever been but I feel perfectly fine apart from that so can't really complain.

    Your Dad sounds sweet. Enjoy your lunch. Glad you've had your booster. 

    On the bank account thing - if you apply for one in addition to your existing and don't take any overdraft facility - then it shouldn't affect your credit rating. Swish some money through it - set up a couple of DDs and then when you're ready post move switch it. I did that in July and switched it by end of Nov. That way you can keep your fave account.
