I have just sent £50 to the loan this week. This is made up of £32 left from the budget this week, £6 left from the grocery budget this month and £12 payout from PA. £50 is huge (for me) for a mid-month payment so I'm chuffed. Payday tomorrow and I'll be sending a bigger chunk so wanted to note loan balance today:
£2,630
I'll update the balance in my sig tomorrow with tomorrow's payment but will need to wait until Monday, when the regular monthly payment is sent, to update balance and new DFD.
Health-wise, I am feeling much better now. I'm having a couple of little side effects with the antibiotics which I'm sure will go once the course is finished (a week tomorrow) but I'm just dealing with them. I'm not in any pain and that is really important for me.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
Mortgage today = £161,690.76

Glad you’re not in pain ☺️ And well done on the loan repayment, that’s brilliant!Debt at LBM (Dec 2018): £23,167

Yaaaay, for loan, and yay for not being in pain.5 -
Thank you both!
I am ridiculously excited. My wage slip showed up online today. Sometimes it's a day early, sometimes it's not. I don't usually check before payday but I got the invoice from the payroll company which prompted me to check. I know to the penny what I am being paid this month.
I have updated my spreadsheet today because think I might need to take a break from screens after work tomorrow. I have taken pictures of the amounts to move to various places and will do that at lunchtime.
I have worked out that after the regular monthly payment leaves my account on Monday I will have enough in my emergency fund to cover the rest of the loan with about £600 left in it.
I'm thinking that I might request an early settlement figure from the loan company during the third week of May and then pay it off. On payday a week later I will be able to increase the emergency fund to about £1,400 so back to a reasonable base amount.
I don't know what is going to happen at the end of September with my job. I will still have a job, I just don't know if it will be full time or back to part time. Worst case will be I'm put back to part time and my salary drops back to where it was. With this in mind, my plan is to save the excess cash each month into the emergency fund which means on September payday I will have roughly three months worth of easySalary (no frills). I know that's not the recommended 6 months but it's pretty darn good going for me.
A couple of issues that may hinder (or help, who knows?!) along the way here are: my mortgage deal is due to end on 31st July so I'm hoping to get a similar (or better please) deal there, and; my internet contract is due to end in September so, again, hoping for similar or better.
Think that's enough from me for now. I just needed to get all of that out of my head. I had a headache after I finished work but now I've typed all that I feel better.
TL:DR I think I might manage to pay my loan off before May payday, and other ramblings 😊Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

That is SO EXCITING!!! Brilliant news! 😁Debt at LBM (Dec 2018): £23,167

It is quite exciting but it hasn't happened yet. Just wanted to put my thoughts out there in the hope that the universe hears.
One of the not nice side effects of the antibiotics forced me out of bed at a silly hour this morning and there wasn't much point in going back to sleep so I'm up and showered. Thought I would take the opportunity to do the finance stuff and get a wash load in before work.
Current loan balance: £2,380.
I paid £250 this morning. I will wait until Monday to update the monthly payment and my new DFD (the one if my plan doesn't work for some reason).
Going to get dressed and do meter readings (not really related but seems a sensible order).
I hope everyone has a great day 🙂Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
