You do know you can get some gas to spray in a bottle of wine and so it keeps way longer than 2-3 days and still tastes fine?

We used to do it all the time, although I haven’t drink anything for about 2 years now.

Ooh, that sounds interesting! By contrast, I am at BF's and he has poured me a glass of red wine 🤦‍♀️ In my defence, it is the loveliest red wine ever, and he would have just left it to go off (he refuses to accept you can only keep a bottle open for a few days before it goes bad, and instead insists that's just me angling to drink more wine), so I guess that's worth losing a bit of sleep over 🤔🤣🤷‍♀️?
Waste is immoral. So you should definitely drink it. It’s your duty.

Never heard of the spray QJ, but it will keep better in the fridge too (according to the idiot’s guide to wind which I picked up from Freegle - never did read much of it, but that I remember!)

Red wine in the fridge 😱😱😱! Rosé and white fine, I'll keep them in the fridge indefinitely, but I do think red has a time limit on it once opened. Not heard of the gas though, may do some research. Boxed wine seems to last a lot longer, the only trouble with that is making sure you properly pace yourself when you can't see how much you've had!

    Here’s one for you: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Private-Preserve-Preserver-Prevents-Oxidation/dp/B0000DCS18

It’s Argon gas that you just spray in and reduces the oxygen so it lasts longer. Some of them claim to last months (not sure about that as it still goes off, just a lot slower). We used to open a bottle of wine at the weekend, drink half, then spray the gas in and drink the other half the next weekend (or the week after).

Yes, the fridge also slows the oxidation. You can let it warm up before drinking it!

I used to push cling film right down into it so it was touching the surface, that used to help I assume because it excluded the air.

I thought about it, but I hate to link anything to my bank for security reasons.
