Right, I checked my S&S ISA and it had grown £140 since the 1st, so I've taken the plunge and pulled £4k out of there (leaving not very much!) and opened a LISA. So that's this tax year taken care of anyway. This is the first time I've taken any money out of it and now discover that they send you a cheque for the money (I just assumed it would be a bank transfer in 2020!) so hopefully my gains won't have become losses by the time the request is processed! I still have my 6-month EF and the 2x 10% mortgage OP pots to raid if needed, so locking away £4k for 22 years (😮) hopefully isn't too risky!

I’ve got a cruise booked for May. Rescheduled from this year. Glad to see somebody is doing some market research! I sort of hope it gets cancelled. I want to go but can’t see me wanting to travel. This will be my third cruise. Amazing way to see a lot of things and I go basic room with an inclusive drinks package! I got very sea sick in the North Sea so never leaving from the UK ever again!

I would like to go on a cruise, in particular I want to go on one to Iceland... But maybe a mini one before going on a massive one?

Interesting that it's being taken out through a cheque. I've never withdrawn money from S&S ISA, I assumed that if you were transferring then it would just happen... magically..

I went on an Icelandic cruise last year and it was fabulous.

P.S. I'm hoping cruise ships are so big you don't get seasickness, as I suffer too😮!

We have been on about ten cruises and the ships are so big that you should not suffer any sea sickness. I always used to suffer on a channel crossing so for the first few cruises I just took some stugeron just to get across the Bay of Biscay on the first day.  I don't bother now.  Last one we did was February on a fly cruise to the Caribbean.  Wonderful and we nearly booked another one for next January while on board but luckily didn't.  Not sure how long it will be before we feel comfortable going on one again.  They would half to at least halve the capacity for us to even consider it.  When I walked the South West Coast Path around Torbay a month or so back there were about ten cruise ships anchored off shore.  So sad.

Hi SC, I am also dream of a cruise-especially the fancy ones to the Artic and Antarctic.  The ones I wanted to go on were so expensive (eye-watering amounts) though. I went on an educational school cruise to Egypt,Israel, Turkey and Crete when I was about 13, it was brilliant.
