I agree, London is endlessly fascinating. I have to go for 1 week a month currently and I easily hit my 10k steps; walked from Waterloo to the Strand over Waterloo bridge the other day. Wandered around Borough market at lunch. I do find Londoners are absorbed in their own little worlds though, maybe I appear that way too though to be fairDFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

not going to do a budget report today as I have decided to do my numbers up to the transaction before my pay, which will be mid week. So probably Tuesday and then that will be month 1 of 60 (5 years right!!)
got some phone renewal research/admin to do - plus I am keen to have another bash at the garden and then do some decluttering tomorrow. trying to make NSDs but I may have to spend a little to get a minor car niggle fixed - I am a regular so the garage may do it for free but otherwise will be £50 ish - ouchI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Just off the phone to EE - managed to save £27 pm by turning a £35pm contract (iPhone 8) into £8pm and by juggling some of the loyalty freebies in our household I turned the 2GB data it came with into 8GB.
Added bonus should be able to do the same with another 2 phones as we go through the year - mainly leveraging off bonuses but with my larger data allowance as a bufferI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Great result with the phone contracts. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thank you DIA yes - I was surprised to go as low as that. The EE data sharing thing could be very helpful. And although some of the bonuses are legacy entitlements they haven't removed them as I am a loyal customer - spending a bit over £1K with them a year over 4 phones which is a lot, but not terrible. And heading DOWN!!!
spent this morning doing slog in the garden, creating nothing of beauty, but a green bin full of bad things heading to the tipand it does all look a bit tidierI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Thank you all. I'm back but had a lovely time, and my brother was very generous, hosting and largely paying for the many meals out we had. All I did in return was buy the happy hour cocktails for our sunset drinks and the odd beer (he's pretty MSE too !!).
Back to work today which was a shock to the system although I am home now. Have got some catching up to do and then will do my updates.
To paraphrase my thread title - I am literally smiling and waving and looking so fine - I have a tan !! and no sunburn plus a £4 haircut as my OH said I was too scruffy to be on holiday with (which was true!!)
Not overly fond of the new site, but its one of those things that will get easier as we get used to it, nd a like the threads opening at the last unread message.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
