nothing much to report, other than my OH almost infinite tolerance was tested when I fell asleep on the sofa during Corrie after supper (it often has that affect), and didn't wake up until 11 - just in time for bedI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

On a more serious note - update with food - Day 3 is today. Weekly Focus (Long Standing Goals)
- Weight:- Weighed in today - 0.5 lbs down this week so now at 221lbs or a very little over 100Kg which is my 2020 target from my OP. Very frustrating not to have got under my target but we'll get there
- Money:- Going well 79 days not overdrawn, - had an automatic 79p spend on my CC so that was annoying and back to 0 on that one
- Personal Environment:- Further progress decluttering DS2 room - ready for painting next weekend which will be a while
Menu Update (Day 5 yesterday)* Day 4 - Breakfast: Egg and Bacon - Lunch: Smoked Mackerel Pate - Supper: Hunter's Gammon Steak* Day 5 - Lunch: Butternut Squash Soup - Supper: Meatballs in tomato sauceI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Just to report in sneaky mid week weigh in 99.9Kg
- so that's target 1 from my personal goals, and 21kg ff since the beginning of this year/diary. Now to see how low can I go! - I now have 200 lbs as a target which will be more challenging as that is uncharted territory for a long while
on the topic of food - meals for the end of last week (Day 7 was yesterday)* Day 6 - Brunch: Smoked Salmon Scrambled Eggs - Supper: Chicken Tikka Massala* Day 7 - Brunch: Yoghurt & Berries - Supper: Chinese Chicken with Peas and Salad

Just catching up - life and my diary have been very very boring even by my high standards - another rush come and gone at work, usual chores done (am getting more routine about it which is nice, if a bit late in the day).
Diet's going well - another 2kg off, after a slow week last week its a relief to see the numbers go back down. Now fifteen and a half stone, which is as light as I've been in a decade - but still pushing on. Food for this week (Day 6 is today) has been* Day 1 - Brunch: Smoked Salmon Salad - Supper: Curried Mince* Day 2 - Brunch: Mince Lasagna - Supper: Chicken with Mushroom Cauli Rice* Day 3 - Brunch: Chicken Salad - Supper: Chicken Tikka* Day 4 - Breakfast: Yoghurt and Berry - Lunch: Cottage Cheese & Ham - Supper: Pork Steaks with Garlic mushroom rice* Day 5 - Brunch: Cottage Cheese & compote - Supper: Soy Chicken with Pak Choi and Broccoli* Day 6 - Breakfast: Meat & cheese - Lunch: Scrambled Egg and Smoked Salmon - Supper: Sausages & Cauli MashMoney's OK - going to have to spend a bit to help DD2 who is battling with her landlord about return of the deposit so may need to get the lawyers involved just to get it sorted quickly so she can move on. Plus both cars need a service, which I am pushing out to the end of the month, but may have to pay by CC to spread the load, which is against my rules but I may do it anyway - depends how much it is if its £250 for a full service and MOT each then I can do it on debit, if its more I may have to yield!
Have decided I am definitely not going to be able to clear CC2 this year still £8K to go and a few annual bills (eg cars and insurance for DS) - there is talk of a bonus at work - but I will believe that when it hits the bank, and will probably be enough to cover the annual stuff without leaving a lot left over
Finished tidying DS2 room, and moved it round - but he was having an energy slump so we left the washing and painting the walls until next weekendI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Well done on your eating plan.
Wondering if there is still scope for little snacks or the odd glass of wine or are you being strict and only eating the meals listed?
Fingers crossed for a bonus. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hi DIA - no we are being quite strict - occasionally we will split a third portion as a little top up if we are feeling a bit meh!, so occasionally we have a little more than 800 calories - but usually we are a bit under. I am surprised about how (most days) I don't feel as hungry as you might imagine - but some days are difficult.
But the diets I did that didn't feel difficult didn't work so for me, its simply a matter of really wanting this to succeed more than I have in the past. Plus its nice that OH is 100% into it as well, which wasn't quite true of the pure Keto I tried at the start of the yearI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Smashing the weight loss mate but 800cals is very low - do you plan to get to goal weight then up calories?
Re deposit - I’ve very rarely given a full deposit back, just not realistic to expect - something will have been damaged can almost guarantee. Probably not worth paying for legal advice. Do you have inventory/ photo schedule?0 -
hey @alt80, so yes - this diet goes in spurts 12 weeks @ 800, then a few weeks off, then back the relax. The relax period is still restricted calories, but less so or on other days.
Let's not get into a debate about the outrageous way students are treated by the university town landlords community. It's not just about the deposit, its about criminal negligence and failure to provide a safe property and then trying to claim repair (make safe) costs against the deposit. Please do not feel the need the protest I am tarring all landlords with a bad brush - sorry but I'm not interested in debating this.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
