Right - more laziness on the steps front - largely because its been -4 degrees or colder and have just resisted opening the front door, but aiming for a big session at the gym both days of the weekend. Work has been steady, with a few last days before holidays to get end of year things done. WFH has been a godsend as although its not treacherous not keen on driving 50 miles for no real purpose.
Watching Christmas music videos most of the time, I ran out of carols etc then discovered a channel with non stop xmas hits all the way from the 40s through to the 00s and beyond. Fairy tale of new york is a favourite but hadn't seen the video for ages. Next favourites - Jona Lewis (Cavalry) and George Michael (Last Christmas)
My work does pay day early in December, which normally causes a crash at the end of Jan but I think I have it covered this year. Looking forward to the break its been such a long year
275 actual working days (AWDs) to R-Day (actually that may be 274 as I forgot about the coronation next year, but then actually it is 275 as I forgot about the leap year as well!! - its all in the detail!!I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Carols, Christmas hits & Christmas decorations going on here too.....got to take my mind off the dreadful mess the country's in somehow!

Thank you foxgloves and ES - yes I heard that CAB is quite demanding but haven't necessarily got a problem that. There is a lot of help needed and damage to be undoneI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

went out last night for a beer with my friend and was so disappointed in my steps-laziness post from the morning that I walked into town and back - about 7000 steps. It was brass monkey beware cold - but my nice RCN beanie hat my DS gave me from his stint on the picket line kept my ears warm - NHS looks after you in more ways than the obvious

I have a colleague who lasted 3 months retiring before he came back! he had no plans for retirement or what he would do with his spare time. When you work it feels like you have no time and suddenly you have all the time in the world. Its good you both have ideas and are going to use your time to help others too.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200
