As an online purchase your brother has 14 days from date of receipt to cancel and a further 14 days to return the product.
Assuming that this doesn't fall into any of the exemptions, which, given the lack of finer details from the op is currently unknown
  • I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this could well be the company concerned:

Clucking bell that ain't cheap! Maybe I just don't get it either because it doesn't sound like much fun to me...
  • Have spoken to the pub and the manager was very good and agreed to a refund. So all's well that ends well, thanks all for the help!

Since they've been good, I will confirm that Merry Harriers is the company, thanks very much to them for their understanding. Did wonder if mentioning the llamas gave it away!

Nor me - it seems an extortionate amount of money to be paid for some sandwiches and a "trek" that averages 3 miles (according to their own blurb) over 4-5 hours. Even taking 2 hours for a picnic....that is the most leisurely paced stroll I've ever seen. I don't think they understand what the word trek means.

ETA: these are the kind of presents I hate. Its not that I'm not grateful for the gift. Just I think it should be something the recipient would use/want. So getting them something totally unsuitable just implies they don't know the recipient and/or put zero thought into the gift. If I can't think of something someone would love, I generally get some of their favourite stuffs (food, drink, books, music, films etc). Much better than something they'd never get themselves.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
