Investment of Care home savings

  • Hi All,

I've put together this ladder of investments based upon needing approx £50K pa, and having £250K available.

I'm also waiting for quotes on Immediate Care fee annuities, just in case this is a viable option, however I suspect not.

£50K depositied in each in Jan 2020 ..
Flex easy access - Sawbrook @ 1.4% ....general account for care home DD etc..
1yr (200 day withdrawl notice) - United trust @ 1.75%....transfer to Flex account in Dec 2020
2yr - Aldermore @1.8% ....transfer to Flex account Jan 2022
    3yr - UBL @ 2% ...transfer to Flex account Jan 2023
    5yr - UBL @ 2.4%....transfer to Flex account Jan 2024

    Does this sound about right?
Also, is it worth delaying the 5 yr investment until the financial markets have settled down since the election etc!?
