Bank Requesting further details for PPI (COR BLRI)

I sent off templated letters just before the deadline for PPI but I had no account numbers or details as all my accounts were prior to 1993. However Lloyd's bank found my accounts as I provided all my previous addresses and the branch where the loans were taken out. They have already paid out on one account . They have obviously found the names of two business accounts that I had (which had very specific names which I did not give them) but now they say they have closed the complaint unless I can provide them with the account numbers and sort code and evidence such as PPI documentation. I know that one account was taken out in around 1985 and one around 1990. They must have the sort code and account number already to have provided me with the names of these two accounts. I have no paperwork as these accounts were so old. Why would they be asking for these details when clearly they have found these two accounts? Is this Lloyd's trying to wriggle out of paying and is there anything else I can do? Any suggestions gratefully received. :)

Ask yourself this question, why should the bank help with this?
I would have thought that the person making the claim should be the one to provide all the information that is needed.

Finding a bank account is one thing. Finding out if you had PPI is another. Especially as Lloyds never retailed PPI on current accounts.
Why would they be asking for these details when clearly they have found these two accounts?

As lloyds never retailed PPI on current accounts, they are asking you to provide evidence that they did.

The above still applies, just swap ‘current’ for ‘business’
    helpful tips
    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)
