Balance transfer options

I have £2000 on a credit card, I keep making minimum payments as I’m currently a student and can’t afford much more than the £60 minimum each month. Due to the interest free period ending, I am making these payments and it’s like a drop in the ocean by the time they take the interest.
I want to do a balance transfer so I can be interest free for a period of time, but am unsure of how they work. Has anyone done one before? Am I guaranteed that the card I transfer it too will take the whole £2000 of debt on or is there a chance they’ll only take on half?
I’m new to anything like this and just want it behind me! I’d appreciate any help or advice

Yes I have done a number of balance transfers. You don't find out the limit until the application has been processed, although some lenders may give you an 'indication'.
Have a read of the article linked below for more details on how a balance transfer card works.
