My bank trying to go behind Allays back?

Hi

So a while back i did the Allay PPI thing, not expecting to get much, a few months ago they sent me a letter saying they hadn't found anything so i forgot about it.

This week i found 5 letters from my bank (RBS) and one from Allay, the bank has come back with 5 letters each offering a different refund on 5 different loans ranging from £109 to almost £2k.

My first question is are they seperate amounts i can claim for each?
Which would be almost £3k in total.

The second question is that the letter i got from Allay states that the bank has found no evidence of PPI on one of the loan accounts that RBS has offered me money for.

So are RBS trying to go behind Allays back to maybe avoid paying out more?

I realise from reading these forums that if Allay is aware i'll have to pay 24% (which i haven't actually seen from any of their forms or the phonecall i had with them, unless verbal agreement counts).

Hope some one can try and clear these up for me

Thanks

  • Don't forget Allay's fee will be a proportion of the total entitlement, not the actual payout.

20% tax will be deducted from the statutory interest paid alongside the "PPI refund" so you might for example be entitled to £3k in total.

But say £300 tax is deducted so you actually receive £2,700.

    Allay will be claiming 24% of £3k (£720), not 24% of £2,700 (£648).

Your complaint is with the bank not Allay so tey will write to both of you to inform you of the redress, not just you.
They're not going behind anyones back, if your conract with Allay is stllvaalid, they'l be after their cut soon enough.
Read some more abou whether not you woud have to pay them, because if they said there was nothing to be found and th complaint was over, you shouldn't really have to pay them...
But we don't know what they said at the time so can't tell you one way or the other.

The Bank do not pay Allay. You pay them. The bank doesnt care if you use a CMC or not as it is you that foots the bill.

Always my favourite queries - ‘my CMC are chasing me for payment for some reason,
why haven’t you paid them yet?’

    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)
