Currently I have

Take your pick.
Which bank do YOU prefer?
Just keep 2 of them, or all of them and leave the other 3 with 1 Pence in it to keep it open.Life in the slow lane0 -

Right basically
I only have Barclays because they still pay on saturdays if your due money on a monday.
Virgin money one purely because its mastercard.
lloyds well this one I opened because I thought I might of got some perks from them over my car insurance but I havent but I find setting up new payees the easiest with this one in a hurry.
Natwest only account I have that does apple pay..

Whichever account you do eventually decide to close and the best way to close them is to use the switching service to switch them into an account you tend to keep
it is much less hassle than having to actually close the account0 -

So say I want to close lloyds shall I go into barclays and say I want to switch from the lloyds?0 -
In theory, yes. In practice, you might not be able to request a switch from a basic account to a basic account as you are supposed to only have one basic account, across all banks.samperry209 wrote: »So say I want to close lloyds shall I go into barclays and say I want to switch from the lloyds?
Can you get your basic accounts upgraded to 'proper' current accounts? If so, switching would be easier, and you might be able to avail yourself of a switching offer.0 -
Any need to use branch based services?0

Yes occasional need to deposit money.0 -
Since you have four 'basic' accounts, and you're only expected to have one, I'd keep them all, just in case.Eco Miser

Sorry I had missed the fact that they were all basic accounts. In that case, just go into say Lloyds and say I want to close my account.
Although as others have said you might just consider keeping all 4 open but if it is your decision to close two then it is relatively straightforward. Any balance should be paid to you in cash at the branch as they close the account.0
