Economy 7 - How Often ?

A few weeks back my water heater was playing up as I'd put the E7 on overnight and in the morning the water was luke-warm.

Called an engineer out and he replaced one of the round things on the outside of the heater and since then the water has been hotter however it's not as hot as it was when I moved in. Up until recently I'd only need the E7 on every other night.

If I keep the E7 on every night I have enough hot water for a shower and cleaning dishes, is this about right ?

Yes. That's how it's designed to work.

I suspect the thermostat on the replacement immersion is set at a lower temperature, but that's no bad thing as the heat losses from the tank will be lower and the heating element will last longer if it's not running as hot.

    Thanks dude
The engineer did say he may have to "lower" it somehow :money:
