I have received from my recently departed MIL (god bless her soul) her 1976 Kenwood Chef model 910A. I have been all through the Kenwood thread, which has been such a help in working out what’s what, but would so much prefer to use it for savoury recipes than sweets and desserts.
Does anyone have any foolproof savoury recipes I could try out, meat or veggie would be great. I’ve seen on the Kenwood thread where people have said you would be mad to turn down the offer of a free Kenwood so I am hoping I can do it justice and use it on a regular basis.
I have just made a Victoria sponge with it using an all in one Mary Berry recipe, just waiting for it to cool before adding the whipped cream filling, but really don’t want to get addicted to cake (it smells delish and is light as a feather so could be my best bake ever!)(bad news for my get fit January plans)! Help much appreciated.
Ps. Yes, my fears have been confirmed, OH just put the cream in the cake, the cake is AMAZING!!!

There appear to be a few on Kenwood's own site though not specific to the 910A.
If your OH is enjoying playing with it, Encourage Him!
Best of luck & have loads of fun!0 -
If you have the metal 'K' beater you can gently rub fat into flour to make cheese biscuits, cheese scones. See recently revived thread on scrumptious sounding variations of scones. For either you could add chopped nuts, sun dried tomatoes, chopped olives, different cheeses. Savoury muffins can be utterly delicious, I make GF ones to eat instead of bread. The only thing about muffins is that they are better if mixed very lightly.
The recipe book for my current Kenwood Chef says to "rub in" fat to flour at speed 2, add water/beaten egg & water a spoonful at a time while the machine is gently turning. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0
