  • Moneyineptitude, please be aware I have no debt, this is all the fault of the Halifax, there is no more to this than I am saying, only that the Halifax have behaved in a manner not befitting a bank/building society and came on here for advice not innuendo that I am a debtor or not telling the full story.

Good luck to you in the future.

Do update the thread when you learn exactly why the cheque was stopped...
  • OP, how did you pay the cheque in, what date & what bank is your a/c with? This whole cheque imaging process is a nightmare.

By your own admission you are not telling the full story.

So it makes it very difficult to give any advice, more especially when what you are claiming does not seem logical
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
