Ppi halifax cheque returned

6 Posts
I have received in the post today a letter from my bank saying that a cheque from the Halifax for over £1000 has been Refer to Drawer. I have contacted Halifax, they say this is happening a lot and we’re of no help. Can anybody offer any advice please. Thank you.

That is strange. Refer to drawer usually means lack of funds. A stopped cheque would normally say "payment countermanded by order of drawer".
What are they going to do about it?
Only they can tell you that.
HALIFAX BANK OF SCOTLAND HAS NO MONEY!!!
Because if they had they wouldn't have their cheques returned "Refer to Drawer"
Do you have a middle name for example?
I'm certain there is much more to this than the OP is telling us.
Why has the Bank sent you a cheque for £1K in first place OP?
Has the Bank stopped the cheque for some reason?
