Genuine email address from BA?

Does anyone know if the email address emaildelivery.ukrfs@ba.com purporting to be from BA is genuine?
I'd have immediately consigned it to scam except that I'm currently trying to get a refund out of BA. Hovering over the address shows it to be from that address and googling throws up a flyertalk post which indicates it's genuine, but I'm not convinced. There's no way I'm opening the attachment unless I'm sure.

Another reason to use Pro; https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-windows-sandbox-windows-10-may-2019-update
You can also install Sandboxie and use that instead.0 -
Even if the address is genuine, it's easy enough to fake the sender's addresses of an email, so it doesn't really make any difference.
If you're expecting communication from BA I'd say it's likely to be genuine. Can you open it on a smartphone or tablet? These are generally less vulnerable than Windows PCs.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
I realise that this question should really be asked in the tech forum but as it's relating to an ongoing thread, I'll ask here and maybe repost on the other forum later.
Is there any risk from simply opening an e-mail from an unknown source without actually clicking on any links or downloading any attachments that might be in that e-mail?0 -

The risk from simply opening an email is fairly minimal. The OP has been sent an attachment. Obviously an attachment may be a virus but can be made to look like a pdf.0 -
Thanks everyone. Thought I'd update.
The email was genuine. As EveryWhere suggested, I installed Sandboxie (and Sophos on my phone). Then I opened the attachment.
I may yet come back to this board about the issue at the bottom of it (still awaiting refund after taking BA up on offer of cancelling flights for a full refund when one might have been affected by the pilots' strike).. . .I did not speak out

Good to hear it was a genuine email.
We've had several cancellations over the years from BA and some are quick (48 hours) others have taken 7 or 8 weeks. I have only had cause to use Amex to dispute a transaction once and when I let BA know, the refund was processed the next day.0
