Why are matebook x pro`s so hard to find?

Ive been searching for a new laptop to run my online business from as my current machine is rather prone to crashing and freezing on me! I was looking at a MacBook pro but have never been a fan of apple products which led me to the Huawei Matebook x pro 13.9" with 256gb ssd…..but the problem is it seems next to impossible to find one for sale and places like currys have sold out and the refurbished ones are running at an equal or high price than brand new? what the hell is going on?
anyone know a place that has them for sale? and hopefully with some money knocked off for the sales ;)

on amazon you get Huawei Matebook x £899, with its main feature of 2160 x 1440 pixels resolution screen. It is lighter too that the one below.

if you were to by a HP 15-DW0012NA with a very similar spec, but it does have a cpu that is 33% faster, but the screen resolution (1920 x 1080) is not as good as the oddly sized Huawei. HP is a larger laptop too but cost £499 (argos), or £419 refurbed from laptop outlet

Being HP, there is a good chance it will be popular, and parts will be easier to get, probably from ebay. With Chinese manufacturers, firmware updates are also often non existent.

Now it that Matebook was under £400, I would not be typing this.
  • ive been looking at the matebook x also though I am still a fan of the 3k touch screen on the x pro and given the price is the same for the 256gb as the x in currys I would rather the x pro for faster computing as this is to be my company computer for the next few years, as for HP I am NOT a fan after have a HP envy 6 I think it was (the dre beats edition) great looking laptop and working but the hinge broke as they decided gluing it would be a great idea it and it was not covered by the warranty.....needles to say I was rather !!!!ed off given it was upwards of £1000 machine, though I had managed to steal it from currys at 400 in the sales.
  • yes they do have them but they are used machines at a price £300+ what the new price is..
