Dash cam within internal mirror

I currently have an E-PRANCE D101 1296P, which the screen is far to small to capture reg / footage

Instead of having separate gadgets, I've heard there are front facing / rear facing dash cam "within" the internal car mirror, any suggestions?

What has the screen got to do with capture reg/footage?

Run the saved footage though a PC and your will see it does capture what you require.

I would not think that a rear facing dash cam mounted in rear view mirror will get much coverage outside the car.

The screen isn't intended for you to read number plates etc. It's only for checking that it is pointing the right way and capturing the area that you want.

If you want to watch what's recorded then plug it into a pc.

I have one in my car and it is a good bit of kit. The mirror has a blue tint to it so looks a little odd to start with but you soon get used to it.

Just about to fit a very similar camera to my car, but... get it from ebay instead of amazon because a) its cheaper and b) they do one with the screen on the left hand side which makes it more suitable for the uk market.

I used to have a very similar one and the biggest problem I found with it was that because it's got such a large black surface area that is often in direct sunlight, in the summer it was getting so hot it would often turn itself off or refuse to turn on.

I got rid of it and bought a Nextbase camera which although more expensive, gives far better quality recordings and being far smaller, doesn't get anywhere near as hot.
