I would say coming back from somewhere and the phone that I was using for the sat nav died.

Well there's a solution for when the phone you were using as a sat nav died.
There's this most amazing thing called a map, printed on this strange substance called paper (which you get from chopping a tree down, in the beginning anyway). The most common map variety being one called "the A-Z". There are also these incredible things called "road signs" that, believe it or not, will actually tell you what direction you need to go in in order to get to the general vicinity of your destination. Then there's the last bastion of all this - stop and ask for directions.0 -
