What happens ISA

I have had an ATM dispute with my bank, I did not receive £300 but my account was debited. The bank stated that their investigation resulted in the ATM figures tallying correctly. I have since noticed on my online statement that the date of the transaction is given as the 3rd, but the transaction was carried out by me on the 4th, when I telephoned the disputes dept., to tell them this , they didn't want to know and dismissed me. The dispute is now with the FOS, although I do not expect a favourable result. I have made many telephone calls to the various depts of my bank and sent off emails and letters - the latter were ignored regardiing this business. I even made a complaint to the police - but no outcome as yet. One particular person inp the complaints department who I spoke to was very rude with me and I told her off for her attitude. I am worried as to what might happen to the money in my ISA if the bank decides to close my account. I have an easy access ISA and there is a substantial amount of money in it. I have been with my bank more than 25 years and my income is paid into it and directs debits are paid from it. The whole business has caused me so much stress.

If they close your current account. And there is not reason why they should from what you said. ATM disputes are a regular happening.
Your money in the ISA is safe. If you are that worried, then transfer it to another bank ISA.
Given the discrepancy in the dates. Is it possible that someone else in the house/known to you might have taken and used the card on the 3th? Then you used the card on the 4th?
Or is it a case that we are looking at times around midnight?
Or do you have 2 ATM trans?Life in the slow lane0 -
Thanks for replying. I live alone, so no one uses my card. When I went on the 4th it was around lunch time. When the money didn't come out of the ATM I stayed next to it and immediately phoned the number on the machine. No one else used the machine in that time. I was next to the machine for around 30 minutes. After about 10 minutes a sign appeared on the machine 'no cash withdrawals available' It was not there when I first went to the machine. I thought maybe the machine had made a mistake when I noticed on my online statement that the date of the transaction was given as the 3rd, but I made the transaction on the 4th. I didn't notice this until I clicked into the transaction online. Of course the disputes dept., at my bank had already made their decision after their 15 day investigation and don't want to know.0

What happens with a ATM dispute is you banks requests information from the ATM owner. They then reply with either no cash given or ATM balances.
Sounds like your bank got the 2nd message from them.
One thought. Did you take any cash on the 3rd?
As it is possible that the ATM on the 4th will not show on your account due to no cash given (how it should be)
If not then the only other thing you can do is ask if they will do a good will refund, with the info of what happened.Life in the slow lane0 -
No, I did not go to any ATM on the 3rd. I went to two ATMs on the 4th. The first one was the one that caused the problem - no money. That transaction was given as the 3rd. on my online statement. Over 30 minutes later on the 4th I crossed the road and went to a different ATM inserted my card asked for the same amount of cash which I received and the date for that transaction was the 4th on my online statement. So the date on my online statement for the first transaction that did not pay out was not correct. It was stated as the 3rd but I attempted to take the cash out on the 4th.0
