Allay Recovering PPI

I was bankrupt over 10 years ago, so I assume I am not entitled to claim any PPI back, or that's what I was told at the time, but a company called Allay keep insisting I am owed thousands and that I am entitled to claim it now that its over 10 years since my bankruptcy.
They keep insisting for me to fill out a form and that I would receive my claim, is this all legitimate? What do they have to gain as they seem so pushy when I don't think I'm entitled.

  • Bankrupts could not (and so cannot) ever benefit from PPI complaints.

Any redress belongs to the Official Receiver for redistribution to your former creditors. This is the case no matter how long ago your bankruptcy was.

Any claim company knowingly accepting engagement from a Bankrupt would therefore be flouting FCA rules.

So either continue to ignore them or send them a formal letter detailing your bankruptcy.

Ok thank you. I did try telling them I cant claim due to my bankruptcy but they keep insisting otherwise. I will block the number now. Thanks again.
  • Is it really Allay? This sounds like phishing for your personal details. The PPI deadline has been and gone and even the Allay website confirms this. No new claims.

So why are you getting cold calls/texts insisting you are due a refund? And how would they know?

I dont know how they would know. I have also this week had my identity stolen. Someone has been taking out credit using my name. But it appears they got my details on Clear score, because it states there I did a credit search on the 11th December which I know I didnt do. Police and Action Fraud are working on it now. Sorry I forgot to mention the texts from Allay stopped weeks ago. The only reason I posted it now is I was always curious why they were so pushy at the time, but I never gave them any of my details.

This is completely irrelevant to Allay trying to get you to complain about PPI.

    Merry Christmas ..

Not completely irrelevant because I didnt want anyone to assume my details we're compromised due to Allay.
