apparently I can, having just Googled it.
I had never heard of it, and no-one at the bank ever suggested it, but, yes, it could be a solution0 -

Could you also use the mobile app which would let you do what you want?0 -
Don't have a smartphone, so no.
I mostly bank online, but I do find I regularly need the phone banking when I have problems doing what i want online - at the moment there's a problem setting up a new payee online0 -
When you use telephone banking you have to speak to a stranger in a call-center who could be anywhere, and give them your sensitive details like name, address, date of birth so for all you know they could be the security threat. As you use banking online, best just to use that. The times the banking site might think the computer is not yours that is being accessed is if the IP address has changed, so it will ask a security question to validate which is fine.0

If you want to stay with Lloyds then to get a new sort code account number and long number on your debit card you could simply log onto internet banking and open a second account
both accounts will then show up it is very easy
transfer everything from account one to your new account two and once you are satisfied give them a call and close account one
this will reset your telephone banking credentials because you will have effectively a new account
I agree register for voice recognition although this only kicks in after you have gone through Telephone Banking security so won't solve your original problem0 -
...or switch account one, not close it0

How many times have you heard of that happening?
If you were that way inclined. And the above is a sure fire way to get caught. :rotfl: There are more than enough details on customers without speaking to a customer. Although you need a dammed good reason to access a customer account. As the auditors will soon be wondering why you are in a customers account when you have no need too...
You clearly have no idea how tight anything you do as a banking rep is tracked.Life in the slow lane0
