I am going before work and I hope they haven’t moved things around as I know what I want and where it is. I only have ten mins to get in and out so hope no one gets in my way and they open the store on time.

I've never been specifically at the start of the 90% sale but judging by what I've seen listed on eBay, people probably go and empty the whole rack.

Presumably this is an eBay thing, where sellers buy up everything in sight to resell at a profit?

I got £200 worth of sports bottoms for £20 various designs. I am certainly not selling them on eBay. These are mine.

Il be going back tonight to see if there’s any like tops and jackets I like with more time I can look for things I might like.

I went about 10am, with my son. There was no way I was sitting in rush hour traffic with a 1 year old to get there for 8am, when the store opened!!! I got the boots I wanted for £4.89 instead of £49.50. I am well chuffed with that.

There were a lot of women going mad and filling trolleys in ladies wear and ladies shoes, hardly looking at the stuff. Either they don't care what they look like, or they're selling it on, or perhaps giving as presents? (That's what one of them was saying at the till). There was a lot left in my store, but as I'd already looked through at 70% - I knew there was nothing I wanted.

The children's section had all but been cleared out by the time we got there - but again, I already knew there was not much left in my son's size, nor anything I was really bothered about. I bought a 2 pack of long sleeved t-shirts (1 navy, 1 white) for him, in the next size up for £1.59. I didn't bother with men's wear, as my husband didn't like anything that was left. It's only a bargain if you need it and will wear it.

    eBay.
I was looking for a new bikini on eBay and the same seller had lots of randomly sized items, some of which I'd seen in my own store.
Bottoms from size 6 to 20.
Tops from size 10 through 36F to 40D.

I'm sure it is. But I'm not sure I could be bothered, as most of what's left at this point is tiny and XXXL sizes, in styles that no-one wants to buy (at any price). I'm not sure you'd make your money back and all the hassle of listing it, storing it etc. I sell stuff on eBay, but mostly items that were either bought and not worn, or stuff we've finished with - that's enough hassle. I've been following certain items since last January's sale, and they're still for sale on eBay. I know the seller wants too much for them, but they refuse to accept offers. Would you want to be sat with items for a year or more?!

I'm not sure you've understood my post.

I too sell items on eBay, generally my own no longer wanted clothes, footwear and the odd item of jewellery I won't wear again.

I have never - and won't ever - buy anything on a speculative basis specifically to attempt to make a profit on eBay.

So I would not be sat with items bought - even at 90% off - for a year or more.

I was merely agreeing with your 'selling it on' comment by confirming that I'd seen the same seller listing varying sizes obviously bought in the sale as I was searching for something for myself on eBay. :)

Oh I did, I'm just musing outloud about the people that do this. It's a shame really, it would be nicer if they could just 'play fair' and that way everyone would have a chance at finding a genuine bargain or two for themselves, even if they can only pop in after work or at the weekend. Hey ho! The world sadly doesn't work like that anymore!
