MSE credit club address

Dear all,
Is anyone else having issues with the MSE club personal settings. I need to update my address on it as my score has went down, looking at my most recent report it appears the only issue I can see is that it includes no information about my current address (electoral roll, accounts, linked accounts etc)
When I try and update settings I add in my new current address , hit save and update and then get an error message saying that I have to add in a 'move in date' despite this being clearly inputted anyways. In addition the error message wants me to input a move on date for all my previous listed addresses even though they too have one already and have always had them (never had any issues before). Also all of my previous addresses are now blank, as in they used to say the street name and number etc but now its just blanked out with only move in dates completed.
Help appreciated because I want to update my address before worrying about the score decrease. You would think it would be easy...
EDIT: Tried two different devices and two different browsers, same issue in all of them.

Don't change your address just because "your score dropped".
Your "score" isn't a factor used in lending decisions so it can be safely ignored.0 -
The lower score prompted me to check my details...I discovered my address is not updated, my electoral roll status is therefore not correct and all my bank accounts are no longer appearing.
I want to update my address...Thanks for the help pal
I am aware of the pros and cons of checking my 'score'.0 -
There's only cons - no pros, pal.
Anyways your address should be able to be updated when the CRA's receive the updated address information from each of the accounts you hold with the lenders.0 -
Nonsense, there is specific circumstances where monitoring your score and reports is useful, here is two specific to me.
1. I potentially have future CCJ's coming my way from very dodgy companies who are notorious for sending court paper work to incorrect addresses. Monitoring my report gives me peace of mind that to date this hasn't happened. If it does, I will see it and will be able to take steps to getting it set aside before I find myself in a situation whereby it inhibits me.
2. It gives me a useful visual aid to help my partner understand the importance of using her credit card and paying it off each month to build a credit history - very important in someone with next to no financial history as lack of credit utilisation can and does hinder people.
Take your sweeping statements elsewhere pal , only trying to see if anyone else is having trouble with the credit club, some us find it useful for a variety of reasons.
I want to update my own address, I like my data being up to date as far as I can control it.0 -
Monitoring your reports and the data therein is useful yes, I agree
The "score" - no.
1. CCJ's are issued to last known addresses - if you don't update creditors with your current address they will only send paperwork to the address they have on file for you.
If you know of these debts/CCJ's then why are you not making headway to getting them paid off?
Why do they warrant being set-aside?
2. Again you're referring to history here, which bares no relevance on the score.
If you've updated your current creditors with your new address then you need to wait for them to update the CRA's with these new addresses before you can start "manually" updating addresses.0 -
1. I dispute them and I do keep them updated of my current address, precisely so I can dispute them and win in court should they opt to take that course of action. Unfortunately some companies do (wrongly) send court papers to old addresses. They would need set aide if they win be default without me knowing, I'd be successful in getting them set aside because I have proof that I updated my address with them and they ignored it. Hypothetical as I don't have any but I like to be prepared.
2. I know that - but my partner doesn't. Anything that helps me to help her better organise her financial affairs so that as a partnership we have a better life is worthwhile to me. If pretending that 999 out of 999 is better than 950 out of 999 and that gets her to make better financial decisions then I'll pretend with her until the cows come home.
I think that you have actually answered my questions at the end there, that is something I didn't know so thanks for that. Took a while right enough, it seems like you are looking to point score wherever possible for some reason? waiting for me to trip up. Don't worry too much about me there is method behind the madness as I have explained.0 -
1. Avoided the question on why if you have debts you're not making payment plans
2. Introducing someone to using the score as methodology to monitor and rate their progress is the wrong thing to do and I would nip it in the bud now.0 -
How is it that so many people have been 'conditioned' into believing that CRA 'credit scores' in the UK are relevant?
@tatartan
Most lenders score you against their own criteria and policies using the data held in your credit file, added to the data submitted in a credit application, added to the data they may already hold on you as an existing or returning customer.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job0 -

Because the TV advert with the dog said so
I'm surprised they haven't been pulled up for false advertising0 -

1. I don't have debts therefore I have no need for a payment plan. I have an invoice from a private parking company that I don't recognise for multiple reasons I'll reserve for a court. You assume a lot.
2. I am not rating her progress :rotfl: I am using it as a tool to show her the type of things that can influence whether a lender will give her a mortgage in the future. This is someone with far lower financial literacy than you or I. This is someone who had been on the one poor current account for about a decade using it as a savings account. My actions are for the greater good trust me.0
