Credit Card Protection Advice

in Credit cards
Hi
I really need some help and advice on what is turning out to be a really stressful situation and now at a point in not knowing what to do.
Basically I ordered an Xbox One via Amazon Germany last month. Upon delivery I signed for the item and took the parcel inside and upon opening It was not a Xbox One but a waffle maker. I contacted Amazon Germany stating this and to cut a very long story short after various escalatuons etc Amazon turned round and said as far as they are concerned I have received the item and not entitled to a refund!!
I then contacted Post Office Credit Card (which is the card I used to purchase the Xbox) where they told me to fill out dispute form along with supplying evidence that I have tried to resolve myself which I submitted (40 pages of evidence) and they will investigate)
I then received a phone call today from the Post Office stating that they will not refund me as I signed for the parcel!!!!!!!
This does not sound right at all and despite me ranting at them about buyer protection, liability etc I have no idea what to do now.
I am £250 out of pocket with no support or protection in getting my money back and feel I hace been massively let down by both Amazon Germany and Post office credit card
Please help as I am not what my rights are as a consumer
Thanks
James

Can we have some more info?
Date of Order?
All on credit card?
Was it direct from Amazon, or via the marketplace seller? THIS MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE. As possible S75.
Date dispute was started?
Date they declined?
Did they say that Amazon have rejected?
Sounds like that they may have done the wrong chargeback.
They should have done GOODS NOT AS DESCRIBED. Sounds like they have done goods not received. Hence the decline on the basis it was signed for.
Or they have looked at S75 and are happy to decline saying you have signed for it.Life in the slow lane0 -
Agree with the reply above, it largely depends on if it was a marketplace seller or directly from amazon themselves. If it was a marketplace seller - you should contact him directly as soon as possible. Also, please provide more information about the cause of rejection they gave you.0

Can we have some more info?
Date of Order? 7th November 2019
All on credit card? Yes all.on Post office CC.
Was it direct from Amazon, or via the marketplace seller? THIS MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE. As possible S75. Purchased direct with Amazon Germany (no marketplace)
Date dispute was started? Dispute started on 10th November 2019
Date they declined? 27th November 2019
Did they say that Amazon have rejected? No date back from Post office just said they will not chargeback as i signed for it
Hope that is sufficent info?0 -
You are covered for goods bought from abroad, and against non-delivery or item not as described. Signed for is irrelevant.
You have no NEED to go to Amazon although it helps if you do of course. You can claim direct against the card company as if they were Amazon and they are jointly liable.
If the card company says NO then complain to them. If they still say no, ask for a deadlock letter and take it to the financial ombudsman.

This always happens around Christmas with online retailers.
People order expensive goods and “receive” something completely different.0
