New build - drying laundry?

Haha classic strawman argument.
The point made by the poster was -
1. There are many other activities which generate as much or more moisture than drying clothes indoors.
2. You could keep your house well-ventilated )open windows regularly, not rocket science) and dry clothes indoors without too much detriment. You could not dry any clothes indoor at all and still have condensation and mould issues (thanks to breathing, cooking, showering, dishwashing, etc) if you don't properly ventilate your home.
Where did he/she say that it's ok to dry clothes indoors?I'm not sure how it can be championed that 'they are more qualified, listen to them' while this thread is born from ignoring the advice of the house builder about preventing detriment to a property.
But sure, I'll join the bandwagon - yeah OP, dry your clothes in the guest bedroom, don't listen to the stupid house builders!
EDIT: you edited your post after I posted, I won't comment on your point regarding re-circulatory hoods as I would have no way of knowing how common or uncommon this is.
My thoughts also, but I don't think either of us could prove either way. That said, I'm not a big fan of these forums witch hunting house builders at every step. Same with debt collectors/loan companies on the finance forums, gets a bit tiresome.0 -
Dry them in the bathroom with the extract fan on if it has one0

The bathroom forced ventilation should be designed to reduce high humidity.
(as should the kitchen)
The rest of the house will be relying on passive ventilation as humidity levels are not expected to be raised.
In smaller properties much less intrusion using the bathroom.
Some houses can be quite dry in other living spaces if under occupied and bathrooms and kitchens ventilation is used.0 -

Thank you. Would using a dehumidifier and having a window open in a bedroom not do the same thing as hanging the laundry in the bathroom with the extractor on (and possibly be even more effective)?0
