Have looked for it and it does not show, tried various ways. The hp option Does not give it, and not in any windows options. Been a common complaint with Hp! I can upload stuff to my phone and i will print from there. The new install has put an HP app onto windows but will need to see if i can get colour from that0

I had the exact opposite experience with HP with what sounds like an identical problem (mine was the colour cartridge throwing up an error). Did an online chat and they sent a set out expedited delivery in 48 hrs0

I have come across this issue from a family member.....She has been in contact with HP who have been very unhelpful, needless to say that they have been very patronising regarding her ability to change the cartridge to the new ones that were supplied. HP seem to refuse that there is anything wrong with their system and because her printer is out of warranty then almost ...tough titty..They have claimed not leaving the printer on for 24/7 is a contributing factor and is her fault for the problem ( as we all know turning an inkjet printer on/off causes a vast amount of ink wastage) yet I can find no terms in the agreement that you MUST leave the printer online to the internet permanently is a condition. Also that she has not regularly used the printer enough... (this is the first set of replacement) yet the printer worked fine with the cartridges supplied with the new printer up until it ran out of ink a few days ago.HP ENVY photo 7134 (series 7100) and windows 10error message"cartridge problem.... Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed."I am the third person to run through the procedure....IOT failing at the first hurdle?

I got a free trial of Instant Ink with a new HP printer - cancelled after the first set because I didn't use it at their expected rate. The printer died at about 18 months old - refusing to recognise new cartridges. Internet research told me that the HP cartridges had an inbuilt expiry date (not sure how accurate this is) and the ones I had bought on special offer and put aside could have been the problem. I could have thrown those out and bought another set or I could have spent £3 more and bought a new Epson in the sale - so guess which option I took.
Instant Ink isn't a con - but it's only suitable if you do a reasonable amount of printing and will change regularly. What happens if they supply a faulty cartridge is another question thougfh...I need to think of something new here...1 -
For the price of a cheap laser printer, I'd bin inkjet completely - the idea of squirting liquid through thousands of tiny holes which can easily clog (not to mention relying on a feeble connection between printer and cartridge).
Cheap laser printers are less than £40, and they don't tend to fail.2
