Hive Live subscription - is it worth it?

I've had Hive for almost two years now and thankfully no problems in that time. I'm still paying the £2.99 a month subscription for Hive Live which covers the warranty for the system but the other benefits (10% off future products, free delivery, SMS notifications etc) don't excite me too much.
Has anyone run into problems with their Hive and found the Hive Live subscription was useful as acting as a warranty. Without it I'm guessing if there was a fault the responsibility of repair or replacement would fall on me? Just wondering if £36 a year is a price worth paying for that possible eventuality.

If you had put that money in the bank you'd be halfway to a shiny new one by now. It should have been under warranty anyway in the first year.
I'd rather put the money away in my piggy-bank or even a savings account so I've got the money to buy a replacement. Others may have a different opinion.
If I had paid for the extended warranty on my tumble dryer which lasted seven years it would have cost around £5 a month times 12 x 7 = £420.
It died this year, AO delivered me a brand new one with 12 months warranty the very next day for £250 so I've still got £170 in the bank.
But in the end it's up to youNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
