Hi
I have installed the latest Norton 360 with VPN
What i would like to know is what doe s the regions do,
Can i select say Austria instead of the UK (where i am) and what would this do?
When on facebook would VPN stop people seeing what my location is and does it work even when using the facebook App or any other app for that matter?
All the above questions are for my desktop PC and Android phones running Android 10
Thanks

Why? - Not a great a/v and not a good vpn either. Suppose a special off is ok. Make sure you are not paying a hefty renewal contract, which is sometimes an automatic payment. Problems with norton is that they kept logs.

the idea is you to get local content. if you type bbc.co.uk in say Austria you will be forwarded to bbc.com instead, also you wont be able to watch bbc iplayer. In theory it lets you visit and watch other peoples sites and media and prevents geoblocking. Some sites still detect this though.

Mmmm, good question. there are a set of ip addresses assigned to certain countries and organisations. Howerver Facebook and google will most likely know it you via cookies, pages you access, information of the infrastructure you connect to, gps data etc. Google even collected peoples wifi router password information at one point. Besides that who else has the facebook account GT60 with your password?

vpns often bundle user data together, so at any one time you could be one of many people, but soon as you log in to anywhere you could be a hacker, but more likely be the genuine person.

I did have a colleague last week that came to me and said he was talking to another mate of his about cleaning his car while in his car, when he accessed his phone browser there were many ads for car cleaning products, and it just seemed too to him

    Thank you :)
The Norton was a free upgrade and the auto renewal is turned off.
No one has my passwords for FB
    Thanks again
