GAP Insurance advice

Good morning all, I'm a little stumped on gap insurance.
I'm looking to lease a 18 plate ford kuga and received an email regarding gap insurance.
It's not something I had considered but now the cloud of doubt is looming.
The lease or pcp is over 30 months at which point I intend to hand the car back. As long as my insurer pays out so I can get a vehicle of the same spec at the time of any possible incident I would be happy (I wouldn't need a brand new car)
Is GAP essential
Many thanks in advance

Any insurance money would be paid to the lease company, not you.
If the insurance company do not pay the full amount deemed payable by the lease company, do you have savings to cover the difference?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
ALA loads cheaper, if your car was smashed up they would pay the difference between value and cost of invoice inc depositDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
