As per title. I have a card that has zero balance which i would like to cancel even though its still in zero interest period. Reason for this is i want to apply for a new card as zero % is only valid for few more months. Is there any reason why doing this would be worst for my credit score please ? Thanks

You can cancel a card whenever you want. However there is no need to cancel a card to apply for another one. People on here often recommend at least two, so you have a back-up. Many of us have more than that.0

Is it your only credit card and when did you apply for that. If it only has a short 0% that you are still in, I guess recently0

Just keep the card open and apply for another.
It will help with your credit utilization.0
