Google calendar

Hi I have everything synced on my phone for my Google account.
Yet when I get emails of an appointment or meeting the details are not appearing on my android phone.

The meetings etc are sent to my other email address and not the Gmail one.
Could this be the issue or am I missing something?

One gMail account does it all. So if the meetings are being sent elsewhere they won't show up on the calendar of the address you're currently using.

So I have to use a Gmail account and not my talk talk e mail account?

Well if you'd just signed up for a Google account without a Gmail account, then your TalkTalk email would be your Google Calendar.

But as you haven't done that and you've instead plumped for the full blown service, everything is on your Gmail. But in fairness it's not entirely obvious sometimes that you can have a Google account without a Gmail account.

I have my Talktalk email as an alternative email already (just checked)
so i might have not clicked on the correct thing when i received the email for the meeting.
I remember clicking on yes to going but thats all.

The alternative email does what it says on the tin. Used for if you forget your password or if you can't get in or whatever. Has no other relevance to your Google calendar.

I will keep a check on the next time i get a meeting and the calendar thing as i may have clicked on something by mistake as i have gone back previous dates and seen other meetings on my calendar that i haven't added manually.
I will report back when i know more.
