Received a letter from a no-win-fee company about PPI. Advice needed please!

I've had a few letters from a no-win-no-fee company that have confirmed I'm owed money by a certain bank. This claim I made was about a year or so ago.

If it does turn out I'm owed money from the said certain bank, can I still pursue this privately without the 'middle man', so to speak, taking their cut of my money?

Oh, hello! First post!

  • You're unlikely to be owed anything.

If you made a complaint and it's upheld, the bank will contact you. You will then need to pay the claims company for their stamp.

Why would you be "owed" money from a year-old complaint? Did you actually complain a year ago or did you simply engage the Claim Company to find out if you had PPI? Remember, it's not wrong simply to have insurance and simply having PPI is not a reason to complain.

Why didn't you pursue this to conclusion twelve months ago?
