Balance transferring

Hi everyone I’m new to this site and I’m looking for some advice.
I currently have a £1300 overdraft I’m maxing out each month, and about £3000 worth of joint debt on x2 credit cards with my husband.
Is there anyway I can balance transfer all the debt onto one interest free card to pay off? Or split it between x2 cards for me and my husband? (Debt is in my name, not sure if this would be a problem?)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou :)

I would suggest that you start with the eligibility checker in the credit card section of the main mse site and see what that suggests. What you are looking to do is possible but by no means certain, it will depend on your credit history.
  • It's not possible to BT an overdraft, so you will need a money transfer option for that.
  • Thankyou both :)
I’ll do the eligibility check but should be fine as I have a good credit history.
When looking at the credit cards available will it have to say a ‘money transfer’ option for me to be able to transfer my overdraft do you know?
  • Yes, you are looking for a card that has a 'money transfer' promotion. :)

If you can't get a sufficiently large money transfer then a 0% purchases card used for all your spending should free up some income so you can clear your overdraft.

You need to be careful you don't apply for too many cards at once though.
