For what it's worth I think Marks and Sparks are good for this sort of stuff. Good quality and good choices (or so I think).

Judi, that's a shame! Last decent jacket (for work) I bought was from there. Pure wool, nice and warm, £80. Have a look during sale time (if you can).

If you have that money for a coat and only a coat-you have to make sure that you don't have any to hand back, and that you have spent the whole amount.

I don't know if it helps but I used to have a berhaus(might be spelt incorrectly) and that was good as it had a fleece on the inside and the waterproof thing on the outside, ok so it's a bit of a teenage lad thing but hey-if it keeps you dry and warm????

Ive been given £90 to buy a coat with.  I need a coat, that is fairly warm and will keep me dry as i do a lot of walking in the bad weather.  Any ideas where i can start looking?

Judi - Not sure if it's your thing but have a look at the Clearance section in https://www.landsend.co.uk

  • Pssst Judi, if you have £8 left over from your coat purchase, pop into Logo as they have a great t-shirt in beige with lots of touch my chocolate and you die type messages written on the front in glitter.

As the TV ad says, I saw it and thought of you ;)
