Yes, but is it a good champagne?Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. - Proust0

I am no expert, but this is my favourite. Every year they do this promotion and I stock up for the year ahead. It is crisp and dry (as they say in their blurb!) and I prefer it to Piper Heidsick or Laurent Perrier.
If you like your champagne slightly sweeter then probably it's not for you - but I love it.
Don't forget if you use a code you it works out cheaper - 1000 points codes are around somewhere and that's worth £40 in Tesco deals, making a case of 6 cost £21 delivered!0 -
It's superb stuff! I bought some about a month ago - I literally wait for it to come up on offer and I love my champagne! Tried to buy it for Christmas but I've drunk it all
It's better than many of the brands, certainly. At that price I'd go far as to say I'd pick it over anything that wasn't vintage.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

In the store, I bought 3 bottles of it, plus 3 bottles of wine so got 25% off - so I only paid £7.50 per bottle plus got Tesco club card points.
HOWEVER, it tastes like cheap champagne. Fine to put in a cocktail. £9.99 is about right for it so it isn't really a great bargain.
If you want the top champagne taste for a special occasion then buy Louis Roederer Champagne which is about £30 per bottle from B&L (£36 in Harrods). That's what I call a real bargain because the taste is almost exactly the same as the Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne which retails for £140 per bottle (£165 in Harrods).

Tesco has Lanson black label, plus a couple of other champagnes, on a 2 for £25 offer at the mo. It's usually around £23 a bottle. Think it runs out on the 2nd of December. Obviously not the best of champagnes, but still very drinkable. I much prefer this to the Andre Carpentier champagne, so am happy to spend the extra couple of £'s.0

We think this is fabulous stuff but I can see why wine snobs wouldn't like it. It's simply tastes great and at the current price is a steal. We have tried many more expensive brands and always return to this, especially if I am actually paying for it myself.
If you want to spend more on something that really isn't much better, if any at all, go ahead, it's your money.

Anyone know if the 'Etiene Dumont' is inc' in the £25 offer? Or exactly what other Champagnes are included?
